Prometeo's approach in this market segment is based on important partnerships with leading companies in the sector. In particular, we collaborate with Lacroix Sofrel and Fast in the supply of RTUs and Data Loggers, equipped with advanced functions and standard protocols (including IoT ones) for easy integration into any Remote Control SCADA already installed at the customer site.
For optimization solutions we have open collaborations again with Lacroix Sofrel and Scubic. The optimization solutions are developed with a multidisciplinary approach together with Hydraulic Engineering Studies and specialized Consultants. We obviously also provide after-sales services on the solutions offered, in order to guarantee an easy and effective use by the end user.

Finally, we are able to provide, together with Hydraulic Engineering Studies, services for analyzing the state of the networks and evaluating technological investment plans to meet the increasingly pressing optimization needs, as a result of the new Arera Directives.

application areas

For the supply of RTU and Data Loggers there are not necessarily predefined application areas. In the area of ​​network optimization, on the other hand, we focus on strategical issues for integrated water cycle companies:

  1. Active monitoring systems for water leaks (ALC).
  2. Systems for the optimization of the network pressure, made with various algorithms including the control of the Critical Point, also based on the machine learning approach and on the adaptation to water leak variation.
  3. Optimization Systems for the management of reservoirs in adduction networks.

Solutions

Prometeo is constantly looking for new solutions that enhance its "Value Proposal" on this market segment. Right now these are the main solutions offered:

  1. Active Leakage Control (ALC) software Web-HP-Leakage Detector: this is a SaS (Software as a Service) solution that allows you to obtain an accurate estimate of the losses of your water Districts (DMA) on a daily basis. It works in conjunction with your Enterprise Systems from which it receives the flows entering and leaving your DMAs (essentially the quarter-hour water balance). This water balance is processed with "pattern recognition" mode, to estimate the daily loss of the DMA. Once the calculations have been performed, the system can return the results to your Enterprise System (Remote Control SCADA or Water Management System), or it can release the results on its own Web interface, which allows you to examine the status of DMA losses by DMA, as well as the list of losses by Area or Public Utility, ordered according to various maintenance intervention priority criteria (leaks above the normal value, anomalous increases in losses, annual economic value of District losses). Web-HP-Leakage Detector can be integrated with any customer Enterprise System. In particular, it is already equipped with an interface for integration with the Lacroix-Sofrel Web-LS service for the management of the French manufacturer's Data Loggers.
    Web-HP-Leakage Detector is the optimal tool to achieve the objectives set for Public Utilities by the Arera Directive 917/2017, because its data management is elementary and the service can also be activated on water networks that are not completely districtised. Furthermore, Web-HP-Leakage Detector manages areas with high tourist intensity in a particularly effective way. Even Public Utilities already equipped with an ALC system will therefore be able to benefit from the use of Web-HP-Leakage Detector, especially to improve the estimation of losses in tourist areas.
  2. HP-PMZ software for pressure optimization in the District through various algorithms including Critical Point control: this is a software that can be activated on the Lacroix-Sofrel RTU S4W; it allows you to operate without a permanent connection to the critical point Data Logger, to minimize battery consumption. Prometeo can also develop special versions of HP-PMZ for Districts with particular problems.
    To develop the control system we cooperate with engineering firms for the hydraulic modeling of the Districts and for the advanced parameterization of the control algorithms.
  3. Sas Scubic service for Optimizing the Loading of the Supply Network Tanks. The Scubic system uses Artificial Intelligence algorithms to forecast water demand in the following 24 hours and to prepare and keep update a daily activation program for the pumping stations, which takes into account the status of the various tanks, the electricity tariff time slots, weather data and the possible availability of renewable energy sources owned to the Pubblic Utility. The service is customized with the support of Prometeo and can operate in conjunction with any customer Remote Control SCADA.
  4. Lacroix-Sofrel RTUs and Data Loggers, including the new S4Ws equipped with Cyber ​​Security functions, powerful programming environment and connectable to any Remote Control SCADA already present at the customer.
  5. Fast RTUs and Data Loggers, connectable to any Remote Control SCADA already present at the customer with open protocols, also of the IoT type (LoraWan, NB-IoT).
